Some great untruisms in this defence of Alan Hutton by Aston Villa:
People haven’t said in the past that Alan is aggressive, goes over the ball and is a dirty full-back. I don’t think anybody has ever said that in his career.
Only because the go-to story about Hutton is about when he beat up his dad outside a pub, and that’s more interesting than his football.
We know he can be a top player here. You don’t go to Tottenham for the price he did if you are not a top quality full-back.
