Ma.gnolia Suffers Major Data Loss →
I like the comments thread on this story; it’s essentially lots of data warehouse dudes given a moment in the sun, making points which generally converge on ‘DURRR…. WRST BCKUP PLCY EVRR… DUR’.
I still trust the cloud.

Level complete
This morning I worked out where the little secret passage goes in the interchange between Victoria Line and Central Line at Oxford Circus. Tumblr funding →
(via blandben)
Even more than Songkick. Plus I’m sure most of Tumblr’s resource goes on scouring blogs for hot girls to add to the Tumblettes. And NONE of it goes on setting up a Tumbldudes section.

And this one’s about not getting killed crossing the road with an iPod on.
I’m sort of involved (= haven’t actually done anything yet but might do soon) in a campaigning project with Channel 4 called Battlefront, which sees various young folks spending 9 months campaiging around an issue that’s important to them (they range from anti-knife crime to random acts of kindness).
Anyway, most of them have made ads/ videos, some of which I really like. This...

Us: Yes.
W.E: Great, I've been asked to ask you a question.
Us: Fire away.
W.E: If someone took a photo, how fast could you print it?

Synced
I’ve spent bits of today and tonight making all of everything sync up. It’s very, very satisfying when you make it work.
So, contacts in Gmail and and Mac address book and work Outlook/Blackberry are all in alignment.
And, iCal and Google Calendar and Outlook/Blackberry calendar all match.
And, consequently, everything is synced onto my Google Android phone.
It’s a good job...

Go science, go! I often find it amazing how difficult it is to argue with people who are convinced by these kinds of stupid claims.
I was recently at a lunch with a number of women who were discussing why they had given up drinking fruit smoothies because they had been persuaed that grinding the fruit up magically reduced its vitamin content (they were not citing the fact that some...

Cool. Would this make shocks impossible, or would it make it dangerous to walk around wet?
I am going to order a silvery all-in-one suit, as the future is clearly NOW.
